Aside from the necessary basic information, Mystery provides limited details on the itinerary - all in an effort to constantly surprise and delight their customers. Throughout the Mystery, customers are guided by Casey, their technology powered concierge. By owning the end to end experience, Mystery removes all planning, indecision, and the fear of failure associated with planning an experience.

About The Role:
As our first UI/UX designer, this is a rare opportunity to play a leading role in designing and developing Mystery’s core products. As you’d expect at a startup, we’re looking for an experienced ‘swiss army knife’ resource that can do it all. A multi-disciplinary designer that’s not just obsessed with solving customer problems, but also willing to chip in and support the business however possible. In partnership with other stakeholders, you’ll conduct user interviews, review analytics, iterate, test, and make informed design decisions to improve existing products and create new ones. You’ll communicate scenarios, end-to-end experiences, interaction models and screen designs to the wider team, and then work with the engineering team to rapidly iterate on and ship products. Additionally, you’ll create designs to support our brand building efforts spanning web, mobile, print and more. It’s a big role, but one with no shortage of new and interesting problems to solve!
You’ll be responsible for:
Establishing a deep understanding of our customers
Driving discussion and decision making around UI/UX across Mystery properties
Designing UI mockups, site flows, wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes
Collaborating with Product and Engineering stakeholders to create a clean and elegant UI whilst maintaining an intuitive and concise UX
Designing and managing Mystery style guidelines
Executing ad-hoc design projects to support the wider needs of the business
You’ll have the following skills and experience:
3+ years of UX / UI experience
Demonstrated passion for quality design
Experience driving brand strategy within product
Knowledge of UX research and appropriate application of methodologies
Knowledge and understanding of web and mobile platforms and their limitations
Expertise with design software e.g. Sketch, Adobe Creative Suite, Figma and InVision
Experience partnering with multiple stakeholders to ship product
Portfolio with strong case studies of leading successful product design and evolution
